Newspaper Notice Entered Eternal Life on February 21, 2010, at the age of 90. Former resident of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Mequon and Shorewood WI. Beloved husband of the late Mary Catherine Dean Drury. Loving father of Patrick (Karen) Jr., Mary Ann (Paul Colin), Ellen (Harry Gikling), Kathy (Steve Chojnacki), Michael (Carol), and Jane Drury.
Cherished grandfather of Carey, Courtney, Jamie, Dean, Noel, Ivan, Myles, Joelle, Sonja, Luke, Grace, Dena, Caitlin, and Aiden. Great Grandfather of Charlie, Claire, Nicholas, George, Jack, Nayana Jean and Erica. Dear brother of Kathleen (the late Glenn Johnston) and Maureen (Bill Utecht). Pat loved life and above all cherished his family. He was proud of his Irish heritage, spoke admiringly of his parents who emigrated from County Mayo and was thrilled to connect to the Drudy clan on his first trip to Ireland in 1977. He stayed close to his roots and the Catholic Church in retirement, attending weekly Mass celebrated by his cousin, Monsignor Martin Cassidy.
He became president of Milwaukee Rubber Products Inc. one year after joining the firm and used his dynamic sales skills to make it a successful business. He found his passion in golf after Mary Catherine introduced him to the game as a way to relax. He enjoyed much of his long life on the links spending time with cherished friends, closing business deals and making a few holes-in-one along the way.
He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He told a mean joke and brought much laughter and joy to all who had the good fortune to know him.
Pat was an alumnus of St Norbert’s College and Marquette University and a faithful fan of the Golden Eagles basketball team. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
