Service Information Visitation will take place on Friday, April 30, from 10:00 to 12:00 at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2700 West Mequon Road, Mequon, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC.
Memorials In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tom’s name may be made to Holy Family School, 4825 N. Wildwood Ave., Whitefish Bay, WI 53217 or Pancreatic Cancer Research, 300 Hunter Ave., Suite 110, St. Louis, MO 63124.
Newspaper Notice Entered into Eternal Life on April 26, 2010 at the age of 70. Resident of Mequon, former longtime resident of Whitefish Bay. Beloved husband for 44 years of Diana (nee Tobler) Sullivan. Loving father of Cathy (Matthew) Blankenburg, Jim (Kim), Tom (Maressa), and Heather (Mark) Kowieski. Proud grandfather of Liam, Cate, J.P., Jack, and Nicholas. Dear brother of Mary Ann (John) Cashion, Neil (Beverly) Sullivan and of the late Michael Sullivan. Further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
Tom was a graduate of Marquette University High School and Regis University in Denver, CO. He had proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force serving as a pilot in Vietnam and had been highly decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and the Purple Heart. Tom then had a successful career as a Securities Broker in Milwaukee.
Tom enjoyed volunteering as a swim coach at the YMCA, woodworking, fishing, a good round of golf but most of all spending time with family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and all whose lives he touched.
