John’s family will receive friends Friday, May 14, from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home. A celebration of John’s life will be held at 4:00 PM.

Entered Eternal Life Monday, May 10, 2010 at the age of 93. Preceded in death by his wives Betty Elizabeth Justen and Bettye Justen. Dear father of Ralph, William and James Justen. Brother of Mary Jane Dettmann. Grandfather of Erik and John P. Justen. John is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was a director of First Wisconsin Trust Bank of Milwaukee, Firstar Bank of Florida, Smokey Lake Reserve, De Paul Hospital, The Brady Company, Titekote Corp., Discovery World, and Eilcar Co, which was part of the Vogel Family Foundation. He was also president of the Tanners Council of America, an executive at Citizen Governmental Research Lab, Board member of Management Resources Assoc., Milwaukee River Watershed Committee, and the Greater Milwaukee Committee. John loved flying his plane out of West Bend Airport, hunting, fishing, trap shooting, art work, golfing and guns.
