Family will greet friends on Monday, June 21, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Milwaukee Catholic Home, St. Anne’s Chapel, 2462 N. Prospect Avenue, Milwaukee, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be private for the family.

Entered into Eternal Life on June 17, 2010 at the age of 89. Former resident of Shorewood and Whitefish Bay. Beloved wife for 57 years of the late John D. Conway, MD. Loving mother of Michael (Jane), Patricia (Richard) Hayward, James, Joan (Tim) Hogan, Colleen (Richard) Schumaker, Paul (Monica), and Therese (Ken) Mahannah. She was pre-deceased by her dear sister Bernadette Wilson Lechmeier and is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends. Gerry loved her children and delighted in the lives and loves of her twenty four grandchildren and the arrival of eight great-grandchildren. She also loved her home town of Milwaukee, Marquette Warrior’s basketball and the cottage at Crystal Lake. Gerry was a volunteer extraordinaire, from helping in grade school classrooms to the presidential duties at St. Mary’s Hospital Guild and Milwaukee Art Museum Garden Club. She continued her volunteer work for the last ten years while at the residence of the Milwaukee Catholic Home. Gerry was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and all whose lives she touched.
