Entered Eternal Life Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer. Devoted wife of 52 years to John L. “Jack” Cutler. Loving mother of Cathleen Cutler, Suzanne (Kevin) Hines, Caryn (Robert) Ahern, Maureen Haslam and the late John L. Cutler, Jr. Proud grandmother of Catherine, Kevin, Megan and Erin Hines and Lauren, Grace and Mary Ahern. Dee is further survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Dee was born in Evanston, Illinois and grew up in the Chicago area where she eventually graduated from Rosary College in River Forest, IL. In her freshman year at Rosary she met John, a sophomore at Loyola University and they married 3 ½ years later. After the wedding, Dee joined Jack, then a Marine Corps 2nd Lt for his last three years in the corps. Shortly after his discharge, Dee and Jack moved to Wisconsin where they have resided for over 40 years including 21 years in Mequon and the last 19 in downtown Milwaukee.
Dee loved sports, both as an avid Packers’ and Brewers’ fan as well as a devoted tennis player. She also found time to be a member of the Milwaukee Task Force on Battered Women, a Girl Scout Leader, a fundraiser for the Mequon Library, and a number of other organizations. Dee brought a little sunshine and laughter into the lives of everyone she met and will be greatly missed.
