Newspaper Notice Butz, Ida (nee Oribiletti) “Mighty Ide”
Our mother was carried home on angels wings on October 18, 2009. Longtime resident of Milwaukee until retiring to Florida in 1988. Beloved wife of Kenneth Butz for 63 years. Loving mother of Michele, Michael (Donna), Renee, Tom (Pam), Mary Buttler and the late Kenneth J. Butz. Proud grandmother of Ryan, Michael (Mandie), Ken, John and great-grandmother of Spencer and Ryan. Dear sister of Amy Rompesky and Arthur (Vera) Oribiletti. Further survived by other relatives and many, many, many dear friends.
Ida was born in Kenosha, WI first generation from Venice, Italy. She was a twenty two year employee of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and spent fifteen years working at Lehigh Elementary School in Florida. Preparing and serving fantastic meals were a passion for Ida. If 10 were expected and 15 or 20 showed up, that was never a problem for her. After all what difference did it make if there were 5 or 10 more at the table. Dancing with Ken was one of the many highlights in her life. Smiles, laughter, fun stories and genuine love made Ida a gift to us all. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 6, at 10:30 AM, at Three Holy Women-St. Hedwig Church, 1702 N.
