A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, at 4:00 PM, at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 7845 N. River Rd., River Hills. The family will greet friends following the service. Internment will be private.

Borges, Mary Mackie “Grammy” Entered into Eternal Life on Saturday, November 7th, at the age of 71. Longtime resident of Mequon, dearly loved by her husband of 48 years, Cap. Loving mother of Barb (Tim) Aik, Mack (Ashley) Borges and Meg (Mahlon) Vail. Proud grandmother of Libby and Sarah Aik; Jack and Charlie Borges and Sarah and Alex Vail. Dear sister of Susie Mackie, Trudy (John) Strassburger and Peggy (Ted) Muller. Mary had generously volunteered time at the University School of Milwaukee. Including serving as co-chair and chair of the “Christmas Shop” for two years. Mary loved her times in Florida with family, strolling the beaches of her paradise, Palm Island, with Cap looking for shells. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always putting her family first. Her special love was caring for her grandchildren and attending their activities; their smiles always put a twinkle in her eye. Mary will forever be held in a precious place in the hearts of her family and many friends. The Borges Family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Scott Jorgenson, the attending physicians and staff of Colombia St. Mary’s for their care, love and support.
